The Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Due Process, Dr Oluebube Chukwu, has appreciated the Leadership of Isuochi Development Union,( IDU), for their firm believe in the administration of Dr Alex Otti.
Dr Chukwu who gave the commendation during a Luncheon with the Union in Umuahia encouraged them to sustain their continued solidarity, and fervent prayers, which he said has enabled the Governor to record giant strides in various sectors of the state and congratulated the President General, IDU, Chief Ochi Orji and the entire Members of his new Executives, for winning the confidence of the Isuochi people as evidenced in their overwhelming victory during their Town Union Elections.
He further applauded the new leadership of Isuochi for starting well through composition of Committees being headed by people of impeachable characters and reminded the Committee Members that application of their ingenuity in those committees will facilitate the much needed development and peaceful coexistence in the land, and assured them of his support in all areas he could to enable them excel.
The SSA to the Governor promised that the litigation against the new I.D.U Executive is unnecessary distraction, assuring that it will be resolved soon, and called on the litigants to have a rethink and embrace peace in oder to pave way for development and progress of Isuochi at large, asserting that the election that produced the new leadership was adjudged as one of the bests in the history of IDU.
The Due Process Boss used the opportunity to intimate his Umunneochi brothers on the giant strides of Dr Alex Otti, led Labour party in different parts of Abia, pointing out that Umunneochi people are also beneficiaries in the appointments, employments, Security of lives, properties, and infrastructural developments, even as more dividends have been promised by the administration of the Governor, Dr Alex Otti, emphasizing that roads construction, promotion of Agriculture, Commerce, Industry, Education, health, workers welfare, among others, have been on the priority list of transformations, and have left no one in doubt that the Governor came determined to serve the state.
He assured that all public Office holders in Umunneochi, both elected, appointed and public servants, are working collectively with Governor Otti, to ensure that more dividends of democracy are actualized in the local government.
Dr Oluebube Chukwu revealed that the erosion menace at Umuizundu, Umuogele, Amuda Isuochi, ravaging the people of the area have been brought to the knowledge of government, stressing that necessary mitigating steps are being taken by the relevant government agency, and promised that solution will soon come, and urged the entire people of Umunneochi to sustain their love and support to the present administration in the state.
Speaking earlier, the President General, Isuochi Development Union, Chief. Ochi Orji, said they are impressed with the level of development on ground in different parts of the state by the administration of Governor Alex Otti, adding that it is a total departure from old order of inactivity, and affirmed that Abians have made a wiser decision of electing a leader with great wisdom, empathy, and fear of God.
The IDU, President General thanked Umuahia branch of IDU for being united and used the opportunity to extol the Governor, Dr Alex Otti, for tackling the Security Challenges in Umunneochi local government area headlong, adding that establishment of Operation Crush in Umunneochi and other parts of the state, the fencing of the Cattle Market at Umuchieze, and demolition of hideouts for kidnappers, have greatly improved the security situation in Umunneochi and other parts of the state which is a welcome development.
